Getting started

Do I have to have an appointment?
We do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but we encourage you to schedule an appointment so your provider, your draw and your chair are ready.
Do I have to be a TRT patient to use other services?
No. Medical weight loss, IV therapy, labs and women’s hormone optimization are all available on their own.
How old do I need to be?
You must be 18 or older to receive treatment at a True Test clinic.
What is the $49 Full Story?
Your first visit: a 50+ biomarker blood panel, an InBody 380 scan and a 45-minute review with a licensed provider who writes your Optimization Blueprint. No prescription or membership required. HSA/FSA eligible. Book it here.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Ask your clinic about our rewards program and our discount for Veterans and First Responders. Hormone-optimization members save 30% on medical weight loss (locked for six months), medical weight loss is 20% off for a limited time, and every IV drip is $50 off on Thursdays.

Bloodwork

Why is comprehensive bloodwork better than routine labs?
Routine labs check a few markers; comprehensive bloodwork checks dozens tied to energy, weight, sleep, hormones and aging, and scores them against optimal ranges.
How long does the bloodwork take?
The draw takes a few minutes and results typically return in 5–7 days, in the True Test app.
How quickly will I feel changes?
Many notice improvements within weeks; most feel steady shifts over one to three months.
Are men and women tested differently?
Yes. True Test personalizes panels by age, sex, symptoms and goals.
How often do I need bloodwork?
Every 8–12 weeks while on hormone therapy, depending on where you are in your journey. ED-only and Lipo-B12-only patients retest every six months.
Why are my labs cheaper if I pay cash vs. insurance?
Cash-pay panels cover exactly what we need to treat you safely. Through insurance we like to see all of your hormones more frequently. Bloodwork is drawn in clinic and analyzed by Core Lab Diagnostics, so it is billed separately from treatment.

Hormone optimization

How do I know if my hormones are imbalanced?
Common signs are unexplained weight gain, fatigue, mood changes, low libido, poor sleep and difficulty concentrating. Bloodwork determines whether your levels are outside the optimal range.
Who is a candidate for hormone therapy?
People experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance. A licensed provider evaluates your symptoms, history and a full panel to decide whether therapy is appropriate.
Is hormone therapy safe?
When prescribed and monitored by a qualified provider, hormone therapy is generally considered safe. Risks and benefits are reviewed with you, and we retest on a schedule.
How soon will I feel results?
Most patients notice initial changes such as better sleep or energy within 4–8 weeks, with optimal results over 3–6 months.
Can I combine hormone therapy and medical weight loss?
Yes, and it is often the most effective approach. Hormone members save 30% on medical weight loss.
Can diet and exercise fix it?
Sometimes, especially if symptoms are mild and driven by stress or sleep. If symptoms are stronger or long-lasting, a medical plan may help.

Testosterone therapy (TRT)

What does it cost to find out if TRT is right for me?
Consultations with our provider team are free. Most men start with the $49 Full Story so the consult is built on a full panel.
What is considered low testosterone?
Most labs flag anything under 250 ng/dL. We look at your total and free testosterone with your symptoms, because low, to us, is a level at which you no longer feel like yourself.
How often will I need an appointment?
Once established, every 8–12 weeks. You don’t pay per visit, only your monthly membership, and your price does not change if your dose changes.
How long until I feel results?
Up to 8–12 weeks for the full difference; some men feel it within a month.
Do you ship prescriptions?
Yes. Ask your clinic about a shipping membership. If you don’t have a local clinic, contact us and we will set you up with one that can ship to you.
Why do I need to donate blood or have a therapeutic phlebotomy?
Testosterone promotes red blood cell growth. We watch hemoglobin and hematocrit closely and bring them back to safe levels when they rise, to keep treatment safe and effective.
I have a history or family history of cancer. Is TRT still an option?
We will want to keep a close eye on your bloodwork. Testosterone does not cause cancer, but we want to be confident in your treatment. Discuss your history with your provider.
What if I decide I no longer want TRT?
Talk to your prescribing provider and we will plan a safe taper.

Medical weight loss

What is medical weight loss?
A provider-supervised program using evidence-based treatment, which may include GLP-1 medications, peptides and Lipo-B12, with bloodwork, InBody tracking and lifestyle support.
What medications are used?
Depending on your labs and history: GLP-1s such as semaglutide, appetite suppressants such as phentermine, peptides and Lipo-B12. Prescribed only after clinical evaluation.
Will I lose weight on TRT?
Testosterone itself doesn’t directly cause weight loss, but normalizing your levels boosts energy and motivation and, over 8–12 weeks, supports more muscle and a faster metabolism.
What is Lipo-B12?
An injectable blend of methionine, inositol, choline, carnitine and B12 that helps convert fat to energy and curb appetite. A useful adjunct to a weight-loss plan.
How long until I see results?
Some patients see change within weeks; most see meaningful change over a few months. Monthly InBody scans track fat and muscle, not just the scale.

IV therapy

What is IV vitamin therapy?
Vitamins, minerals, amino acids and hydration delivered directly into the bloodstream through an IV drip, for near-complete absorption and faster results than oral supplements.
How long does a drip take?
Most drips take 30–45 minutes; NAD+ runs longer. Quick shots take about five minutes.
Who administers my IV?
A licensed medical professional, after a brief health assessment. You must be 18 or older.
How often can I get a drip?
Up to once a week if you choose.
Is IV therapy private?
Drips happen in the IV lounge with a big screen and natural light. If you prefer privacy, let us know and we will accommodate you.
Do you offer IV discounts?
Every drip is $50 off on Thursdays at every clinic, and members get discounted pricing on every drip, add-on and shot.
Can you do an IV event outside business hours?
Contact your local clinic about an IV party outside clinic hours.

Erectile dysfunction

What is ED?
Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection suitable for sexual activity. Causes include medications, physical and psychological conditions, trauma and lifestyle factors.
What ED treatment options do you have?
Tadalafil and sildenafil. If ED is caused by low testosterone, TRT may also be an option. Your provider will review your symptoms and bloodwork to decide.
How often do I need bloodwork for ED treatment only?
Every six months.

Peptides

What are peptides?
Short chains of amino acids that act as messengers within cells.
What peptides do you offer?
We don’t publish a menu. Your provider chooses the peptide and dose at your review, from your labs and your goal, and adjusts as your numbers move. See how peptide therapy works or call your clinic to talk it through.
What are the benefits?
They vary by individual and peptide, and may include improved skin, energy, metabolism, recovery, muscle mass and libido. Peptides have a best-use-by date of 28 days.
