Job Description: As a Pharmacy Technician at a leading Hormone Optimization Clinic, you will be assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications while ensuring the highest level of patient care. Your role will involve supporting both clinical and administrative functions to facilitate smooth clinic operations and enhance patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of hormone therapy medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse practitioner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication histories and prescription information.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines to maintain patient safety and medication accuracy.
  • Support the clinic's operational efficiency by managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of medications.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff, including physicians, medical assistants, and administrative personnel, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer any related questions.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service (e.g., Going the Extra Mile, Building Positive and Fun Relationships, Taking Initiative, Leading by Example, Loyalty, Being Enthusiastic, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a clinical or specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding patient care.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in pharmacy operations.
  • CPR certification and knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
